Looking for something to do with old doors?  Well, you could copy me copying something I saw in someone else’s house, and which has been written about extensively on the internets, and which some people have even made  a business out of.
For this project, instead of making a bookcase into a door,  I used three doors to make a bookcase.  I bought the back, 5-panel door, the two matching closet doors, and the trim for the top at  Community Forklift, our local non-profit salvage yard.  They were dirt cheap.  I bought two ten foot long 1×10′s to make the shelves, and used about 50 screws and some glue to hold it all together.  A full tube of caulk followed, to cover the usual myriad of small mistakes.
I heart caulk. Â I stand by that statement.
Here’s how it looked:
After a layer of primer, it looked like this:
And finally, the reveal — after painting the body gray, the details orange, and the trim semi-gloss white in behbeh-safe non-toxic paint, plus some non-slip non-floor damaging feet for the bottom:
We’re pretty happy with this one. Â I made a similar bookcase for our office, but instead of painting it I encapsulated its peeling paint with a coat of polyurethane for a shabby-chic look. Â But that’s for another post.

[...] 2. Bookcase Made of Salvaged Doors (Not a Door/Bookcase) [...]

I believe what you posted made a bunch of sense.
However, what about this? what if you composed a catchier title?
I mean, I don’t want to tell you how to run your website, however what if you added a title that makes people want more? I mean Bookcase Made of Salvaged Doors (Not a Door/Bookcase) « Wif and Hub is kinda vanilla. You should glance at Yahoo’s home page and see
how they create article titles to grab viewers interested.
You might add a related video or a related pic or two to grab people excited about everything’ve got to say. In my opinion, it might make your posts a little bit more interesting.
