Breakfast never used to be my thing. Especially in high school, when I was required to be across town at 7:15am for the first school bell, I skipped it altogether. Even as an adult I sometimes would just have a cup of coffee.
That has all changed now that I am a preggo. I love breakfast, and all the things that go into being able to have breakfast: a Hub who walks the dog, flexible enough working hours that I can make sure that I always sit down and eat, even if it means being 15 minutes late, and a great kitchen (still love the renovation) that makes making breakfast pleasant. Sometimes I want Hub out of the way while I make it, but whatever. I am still thankful for breakfast.

This breakfast consisted of a Superfood Smoothie, which I found somewhere on the Internets, adapted, and promptly can no longer find the link; a fruit salad of chopped pineapple and orange with a sprinkling of cinnamon, and hot chocolate. Oh, how I love hot chocolate. And my Kindle so I can read the Wall Street Journal. Hey, I work at a business school!
Bonus: I have started buying Silk PureAlmond, mostly because it was there, but then looked at the ingredients and realized that 1 serving has 45% of your calcium intake. That’s especially important while you’re pregnant, but some of the other almond milks I bought didn’t have that. So score, calcium.
